I would just like to note that I am having a faaaaaaaaaaaabulous hair day today.
& I totally bought a skirt today! It's cute and blue. The last skirt I bought I got at the Garment District in May 2004, so this is a pretty big event.
I also saw a cute girl with curly hair downtown in a crosswalk and got sprayed by the sprinklers by the admissions office. And yesterday, I found a playground off a little road lined with trees called Learning Lane and I went swinging for a long time, and I felt a lot of things melting away from me as I watched the world rush by.
I want it to rain so I can go for a walk. I like being alone lately, in many, many senses of the word. The world is so much brighter when you know you're strong enough to face it by yourself.
I went to see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants last night -- which, by the way, was really cute/good -- and one of the characters, Bailey, this twelve-year-old girl with fatal leukemia, said something like, "Maybe happiness isn't something so big - maybe it is all the small things strung together." What a great way to think of things, because when in life is everything perfect? The small successes keep me going; I know that much is true.
Life is so good right now, despite all the bad things that may happen. And, oh, I think I am in love with Blake Lively & Anna Nalick.
