i got my very first *tear* college textbook in the mail yesterday. i'm taking a week-long orientation kind of course thing at UMF from june 19-25. i'm really, really excited about that. it's almost here, too.
i think i may have procured myself a second job, possibly. i have to go take a drug test (???) on thursday or friday, and if (when? seeing as i'm not addicted to anything ... illegal, anyway?) i pass, then i have to go back to kohl's, where i applied, for a second interview to discuss pay rates and starting dates and such. i'd only work the day shift at kohl's, which would be nice because i could still work all the nights i want at booksmith. carinsurancehereicome. i am so sick of not being able to drive.
i got something like...$550ish for graduation, from my parents + my spellman winnings + $50 from my grandma. car insurance, car insurance! only $200 left to go before i can make the downpayment on my insurance policy. it has been a LONG, LOOOOONG six months since i've driven, and it will probably end up being the first week of july or so, at the earliest, before i'd be able to start driving again. oh, well. ASAPASAPASAP.
ps, that portrait illustrator thing you guys are all so fond of lately? i can't get it to make a convincing caricature of me. so far i've resembled jay leno, kelly osbourne, and jennifer anniston, but not me. HOW DO YOU KIDS DO IT?
well, i'm off to go lounge around on the couch (muahaha) and watch bad reruns on tv and read stupid stuff from the aforementioned textbook so i don't end up reading it all on the drive up there next week or something. SUMMER = AMAZING
