Jan. 7th, 2004 04:27 pmi am reading the coolest book right now. it's called don't sleep with your drummer by jen sincero. i've read it maybe three or four times already, but it is just so damn good. it's about this almost-thirty-something woman who quits her "going-somewhere" job to start a band. this book is semi-autobiographical, but it's witty and and passionate deep and everything nice. i wish i were jen sincero. READ IT!
in other news, i have somehow procured myself a sunburn on my face. i'm a vampire and i stay inside all the time, so how tf did i get a suburn!? in the winter!?
um um um. the semester is almost over, and i'm pretty sad, in addition to being apprehensive because i have three midterms coming up in my AP classes. :/ when the semester ends, chorus will be officially over. i ♥ chorus muchly. :/ on a happier note, though, sarah w. and i are going to sing "seize the day" from newsies as a duet for our finalish thing. sw is a great singer.
yesterday at show choir, the choreographerish person, eri(c?)ka, drilled us for the entire three hours on our dances. as sore as i am, i'm glad she did, because i think i'm ready for our competition next saturday now. i'm so excited for our competition in lowell ... i've never to been to a show choir competition before, and in my opinion, yeah, we pretty much kick some ass.
oh! i almost forgot! i need some suggestions for a domain name! the indefatiguable bri found an amazing deal on domains.
oh oh! i almost also forgot! gwen, rikki, this girl, angelina, and i had to do this foolish five pages of fury from the tempest for english class ... we had "period" costumes (i had a sword!), and we memorized lines and everything. however, the video we made came out soooo bad because we didn't have anyone to videotape for us, and someone would inevitably forget a line every scene... but, in any case, the terrible "editing" actually worked for us (and when i say terrible, i mean TERRIBLE, lol - people would randomly disappear from a scene to go turn the camera on or off, and there were parts where we were just kind of staring at each other because we couldn't remember who was supposed to speak next). anyway, when we played the video in class today, people were laughing hysterically. i never felt so proud. :D
i finally got my picture CD from halloween/the semi fixed at stop'n'shop (last time, they only put two out of the twenty-four pictures or so onto the cd), so now i've got almost...thirty pictures to post, i think (but they're not all of the semi and halloween, thank god!)? i'm going to do it in increments, though, so that if you actually feel like taking a look, it doesn't take 500 hours for all the pictures to load.
well, that's all (except for pictures)! adios!
